Photo saves toddler's life
A simple photo swap between two doting mums has led to the diagnosis of cancer in a toddler's eye.
The two mothers became friends on an internet message board after their children were born on the same day.
Madeleine Robb from Manchester was sent a photo and spotted a shadow behind one-year-old Rowan's eye.
Mrs Robb researched the topic online and emailed Rowan's mother in Tampa, Florida when she discovered it could have been cancer.
Mrs Robb said: "Her mother had said the colour of the eye had been changing.
"She had an idea that something was wrong already. But she had no idea that it could be cancer."
The toddler was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer and has had to under go chemotherapy.
If the cancer hadn't been discovered for another week it could have reached her brain and killed her.
Rowan's mum says she'll never be able to thank her friend enough.
