  Fri 17th - Northallerton Silver Band performing a Last Night of The Proms Theme Concert at the Hambleton Forum. Starts 7.30pm.

  18th - Catterick Races. First race 1.55pm. Last race 5.20pm. 

  19th - Robin Hood Challenge. Richmond Castle. Starts 1pm The annual challenge between Yorkshire and Nottingham in a multi-disciplinary archery challenge including the incredibly difficult 'splitting the wand'. 

  24th - 2nd Nov - The Enchanted Garden at Brodsworth Hall and Gardens A sublime night-time experience where the Victorian Gardens and illuminated to become a place of wonder and enchantment. 

  25th - 2nd Nov - Tudor Trail for Children at Helmsley Castle. From 10am. Can you find Henry 8th and his 6 wives? You'll need to keep your head to complete this trail. 

  25th and 26th - Rallycross Superprix 2008
